God Mode serves as a kind of difficulty adjuster in Hades since there are no difficulty settings. It gives you a 20% defensive boost on your first run, the first time you use it. That boost grows by 2% with each successive run, making you more immune to hostile assaults with each return to the House of Hades.
It has a maximum damage reduction of 80%, and it stays in your save file whether you use the mode or not. In other words, the percentage you’ve earned will never be lost.
In the “Settings” menu, you may turn God Mode on and off. Pause the game and choose “Settings” to get to it. Scroll down to “Subtitles,” then right to the GM check box in the center of the page.
Zagreus will get a 20% damage reduction boost when you leave the menu for the first time, as shown by lettering over his head. When you disable GM, you’ll see in-game text stating that the percentage boost has been removed, along with a minus sign and the percentage you’ve earned so far.
