Burrow was selected first overall in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Bengals, therefore there are great expectations for the quarterback. This is without a doubt the most important game on Cincinnati’s current schedule. The Bengals must go to Baltimore to play the 5-1 Ravens for a chance to win the AFC North.
The Bengals’ defense will have a difficult time stopping Lamar Jackson, but they are a top-five team this season, allowing just 18.5 points per game. Cincinnati boasts a solid run defense, allowing just 90.5 yards per game on the ground, so the Bengals look to be in a good position to slow down Baltimore’s offensive. Jackson has rushed for 392 yards and two touchdowns on the ground thus far this season for his squad. The Bengals have every chance in the world if they can minimize his ability to run.
Burrow’s attack will be put to the test when it faces the Ravens’ defense. They allow a respectable 20.5 points per game and are coming off a victory against the Los Angeles Chargers, whom they stopped to just six points.
When you consider that this game will be played on the road for Cincinnati, a victory would be a turning point for this young Bengals squad.
It’s not easy to play in Baltimore, particularly for a rookie quarterback.
Burrow will get the opportunity to prove how he compares against Jackson.

The game between these two teams will be a showcase between two of the greatest young quarterbacks in the NFL, according to the narrative.
Jackson has previously won an MVP award, and he’s enjoying a similar season this year. He’s putting up ridiculous statistics, with 2,078 total offensive yards and 11 total touchdowns in six games. To put that in context, Jackson has accumulated more total offensive yards this season than 15 other clubs, including Cincinnati.
He’s a game-changer and a player to keep an eye on. He’s also 5-0 versus the Bengals in his early career, and the Bengals are well aware of his potential.
According to Geoff Hobson, Cincinnati safety Jessie Bates III remarked, “Lamar affects a lot of people in a lot of different ways.” “Compared to prior weeks when we’ve faced them before, I believe we have a pretty strong game plan heading into this week.”
Jackson has a great arm, but the best approach to stop him is to play solid run defense, restrict the edges with defensive ends and outside linebackers, and force him to throw from the pocket.
Of course, saying that is easier than doing it, but the Bengals have been excellent against the run so far this season. Jackson isn’t your average quarterback; he’s more akin to a deceptive runner who can also throw the ball down the field.
